Privacy Policy

The short version

Your tax numbers are processed entirely in your own browser. When you use the free check without an account, nothing you type into the calculator is uploaded to or stored on our servers. We store information only when you explicitly choose to save it.

What we collect, and when

• Free check (no account): nothing. Calculations run on your device. Your inputs may be kept in your own browser's local storage so your results survive a page refresh, that data never leaves your device.
• "Save my results" email capture: if you enter your email to save results and get reminders, we store your email address and the planning goal you selected. Nothing else.
• Accounts: if you create an account, we store your email address (and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile information they share, name and email). Saved households (filing status and MAGI you choose to save) are stored privately in your account. Only you can access them.
• Purchases: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We store your email, what you purchased, and your subscription status so we can unlock what you paid for.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We do not run third-party advertising or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not store Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents in the current product.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (website hosting). Each receives only the information needed to do its job.

Emails

If you save your results or create an account, we may send you the reminders you asked for (for example, year-end deadline reminders or new-tax-rules updates). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.

Your choices

You can use the free check with no account and no email. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can delete saved scenarios from your account at any time, and you can contact us to request deletion of your account and all associated data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted prominently.
